Reading Scholarship Foundation, Inc. provides financial assistance, primarily based on need, to selected Reading, MA students who are continuing their education beyond the secondary level.
The Reading Scholarship Foundation Inc., was founded in 1969 by a group of local business and community leaders. Its purpose is to encourage qualified students to seek education beyond the secondary school level, and to provide financial assistance, with emphasis on need, to a limited number of such students through the granting of scholarships at the undergraduate level. To this day, the Board of Directors continues to consist of all volunteers.
From 1970 when 57 scholarships totaling $12,785 were awarded through 2017 when 150 students received awards totaling $188,665 the Reading Scholarship Foundation has awarded a total of $3,666,746 to 5,169 local Students.
The Reading Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization, exempt from Federal Income tax under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code – Tax ID: 23-7365813. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by the Internal Revenue Code.

High school seniors DO NOT need to send a copy of their financial aid award letter with their initial application
Application Deadlines: All applications MUST be postmarked by 3/2/18 to be considered for a scholarship.
